IPTV on BuzzTV Devices: Players and Setup
IPTV on BuzzTV set-top boxes, which run Android: what the boxes include, example players, setup steps, and IPTV4K.CA status on BuzzTV.
Published · Updated · Last checked
Short answer: BuzzTV makes Android-based set-top boxes, and its own X5 page lists Android OS 11. The boxes do not come with an IPTV service. IPTV4K.CA lists BuzzTV as supported; we have not tested it on a BuzzTV box.
How IPTV works on BuzzTV devices
BuzzTV’s X5 page lists Android OS 11 and a BuzzTV 5 Live TV app, and does not say the box includes any IPTV service, so you need a provider. Whether you can install other Android IPTV players depends on the model and on whether it offers Google Play, which the page does not state, so check your model. Newer models may run newer Android versions.
Example IPTV players for BuzzTV devices
These are examples of the kinds of apps people use, not recommendations or endorsements, and IPTV Review has no connection with any of them. Names, availability and features change, so check the official store listing for your exact device and region before installing. Most IPTV players contain no channels of their own: they only play what your provider supplies.
- BuzzTV 5 Live TV app: The box’s own app, mentioned on BuzzTV’s X5 page, with features such as PVR Plus.
- Android IPTV players such as TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro: If your model lets you install them. Check availability on your own box.
What you need
- A BuzzTV box with internet access
- An IPTV player app
- Login details from your provider
Setting up IPTV on BuzzTV devices
- Check your model and software version, and that the player you want is offered in the device’s official store.
- Install the player from that official store.
- Get your login details from your provider. Providers usually supply either an Xtream-style login (server address, username and password) or an M3U playlist link, sometimes with a separate programme-guide address. Check which one yours gives you, because not every player supports every format.
- Add the details in the player. Long web addresses are quicker to paste or type on a phone or computer, and some players let you add a playlist from another device.
- Wait for the channel list and guide to load, then test several channels, the guide and the sports you follow, at the hours you normally watch.
- If you are using a free trial, test everything inside the trial window before you pay.
- Do not assume a box comes with channels: BuzzTV’s page describes no bundled IPTV service.
- Check your model and its software version before choosing a player.
IPTV4K.CA on BuzzTV devices: what we know
- Does IPTV4K.CA say it supports BuzzTV? Yes. BuzzTV is one of the twelve device families on IPTV4K.CA’s homepage (provider claim, checked 6 October 2026).
- Have we tested it on this device? Not tested. Our only hands-on test (14 October 2026) used a Fire TV Stick and an iPhone app, so nothing here has been verified for this device.
- Players it names: On its free trial page, IPTV4K.CA names IPTV Smarters and TiviMate as compatible players, “and other supported IPTV apps” (provider claim, checked 6 October 2026).
- What the provider told our tester: According to our tester, IPTV4K.CA said by chat on 14 October 2026 that its subscription works with any player that accepts Xtream Codes or M3U links, and with MAG devices (a provider statement; we hold no copy of it yet and have not verified it).
- What this means for you: Ask IPTV4K.CA which app and format it supports on your BuzzTV model, and test it during the free trial.
That is narrower than “every player”: a player has to support one of those formats, and not every app does on every device. We cannot verify the provider’s statement, so ask which player it recommends for your exact device, and use the 24-hour free trial to test it before paying. Read the full IPTV4K.CA review for pricing, the hands-on test and sources, or compare providers.
What to check before choosing a provider
- Your BuzzTV model and Android version
- Whether your model offers Google Play for other players
- Whether the provider names your exact device, and which player and playlist format it expects
- Whether it offers a free trial, so you can test on your own setup before paying
- The refund and cancellation terms, in writing
